YOU try blogging every day and making it good

YOUGUYS know my favourite place in the world? Bed. It is wonderful. I love being there. Pillows piled high, cool, clean sheets against my legs, warm lamp light, a book and a glass of water. I never last long - I am a professional* sleeper and it takes me less than a minute until I'm wholly unconscious - but that moment of peace and quiet and stillness is all it takes to sooth the soul.

I am so looking forward to going to bed soon.

Before I go, a pic from my visit to Edinburgh today, in which I took a tour, made a new friend, and learned a lot of history that I have already forgotten so will just make up tomorrow.

 No history to see here.

Right now Betty and Wolf are watching Attenborough's The Hunt and the music is so gripping and Attenborough sounds so much like I imagine Father Christmas or God that I keep peeking at the screen and then five engrossed minutes later, my arms have been thrown on top of my head and my palms are sweaty and I'm moaning in distress or yelling 'get 'im, get 'im!' and it's just all too much. I don't even know who I'm rooting for half the time but I'm pretty sure it's the bunny and the polar bear and not the wolf or the bird. Because little, because going extinct. Because fierce, because so many on that cliffside. Either way, they've cleverly allowed enough escapes and enough captures that you never know what's going to happen until it's too late. HOW DARE THEY MANIPULATE ME LIKE THAT. Documentarians are devils.

I'm definitely going to need more time in my pillows tonight.

Big hugs and lots of love,
Esss

*I suppose since I don't get paid to do it, I'm technically an amateur sleeper, but I like to think that someday I WILL get paid, because I'm that good at it.

  1. It does my heart proud to know that I passed down the genes for a champion sleeper! *deep sigh of relief*
